You can’t kindle fire in others hearts until it is burning in your own.
The power of your why is what motivates you through the grueling, mundane, and laborious task. All of the hows in life will be meaningless until your whys are powerful enough. Until you’ve set your desire and motivation in place, you’ll abandon any new path you seek to better your life.
If your ‘why power’, if ‘your desire’ isn’t great enough, and the fortitude of your commitment isn’t powerful enough, then you’ll end up like every other person who makes a New Year’s resolution, giving up too quickly and reverting to living a life of ho-hum mediocrity.
Not you, not anymore!
The person who has a clear, compelling, and white-hot burning reason why will always defeat the best of the best at doing the how. We see this reality played out repeatedly. It’s where greatness and extraordinary achievement comes from.
It’s time to unlock that deep-seeded passion and embolden yourself with the indomitable power and fortitude of your “Why Power!”
– Darren Hardy
The most powerful thing is a soul on fire! Greatness begins in you now!
Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, don’t sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy!
– Dale Carnegie
Have a purpose! Have something to go for–a ‘Magnificent Obsession’! Have something that pulls you into the future. If you have a list of high purposes in your life, it will pull you toward the future. The more powerful the purpose, the stronger the pull. Strong purposes will pull you through all kinds of difficulties and challenges. A purpose beyond next week. A purpose beyond next year.
Where does self-confidence come from? Not neglecting the small daily disciplines. It comes from feeling good about yourself. The best way to feel good about yourself is to know at the end of the day, you poured it on. You know that you did your best. The willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve. Whatever it takes, I will do.
– Jim Rohn
Self-discipline–the ability to do what you should do, when you should do it, whether you feel like it or not.”
-Elbert Hubbard
We become what we think about. What if you read or thought about the above quotes every day?
Isamu Masuda was transformed from being a low-paid clerk to creating a Wellness Movement and billions in sales by reading each day these words:
“Before you can achieve the kind of life you want you must think, act, talk, and conduct yourself in all of your affairs as would the person you wish to become.”
-Earl Nightingale
