Have you ever asked yourself:

“How can I get myself to do what I already know I need to do?”

Do some people just seem to have more gumption than others?

DESIRE is the starting point of all achievement.

Zig Ziglar said that there are no lazy people, they’re just uninspired.
They are more half-hearted than simply tired.

Certainly, not how You want to live!

A hallmark of those who achieve greatness is the discovery that they can control the level of motivation they feel by better directing their own minds.
-Brendan Burchard

What drives the highest achievement? What is your highest purpose?  What is the ultimate mission of your life? How can this lead you there?  Think about when you liked yourself best. What were you doing?

Think about you understanding the power of human energy.

“People who get ahead think differently than those that don’t. They have reasons for doing what they do, and they are continually thinking about what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and how they can improve.” -John Maxwell

Your Purpose is something to go for.  Your life’s meaning should be a Magnificent Obsession that pulls you through and into the future. If your life has a higher purpose, and the more powerful that purpose, the stronger the pull.  A strong purpose will pull you through all kinds of difficulties and challenges. A purpose beyond next week and beyond next year. A great purpose will affect your heart, your soul; your imagination; it gets your mind working on how to achieve that purpose, and you will see each day as an opportunity in time to create avenues of reality and emotions that are yet unborn. Today becomes infinite tomorrow’s! -from What the Bleep

The mind is the battleground. It is the place where the biggest conflict is. It is wearing you down. Half of the things you thought were gonna happen never did happen. But if you allow those thoughts to dwell in your mind it will succeed in robbing you of your peace, robbing you of your joy, robbing you of your life, just because you thought yourself into a nervous breakdown. You thought yourself into depression. You thought yourself into defeatism. The warfare is in your mind. It’s not in your checkbook. It’s not in your savings account. It’s not in your job. The fight that you’ve got to fight is in your mind. -T.D. Jakes

If you don’t get what you want, it’s a sign either that you did not seriously want it, or that you tried to bargain over the price. -Rudyard Kipling

Do it NOW!  Much of Success is in the starting.  Get started.  Action conquers fear.  Do the things you fear and fear will flee.  “Success seems to be connected with action.  Successful men keep moving.  They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.”  -Conrad Hilton

For the little things that are good ripen into big things that are good. And the little things that are bad ripen into big things that are bad. And this applies to decisions.

But good decisions must be followed through with action. Without action, a good decision becomes meaningless, for the desire itself can die through lack of an attempt to achieve its fulfillment. That’s why you should act immediately on a good decision. – W.C. Stone

To be successful, you must be willing to do the things today others won’t do in order to have the things tomorrow others won’t have.

Do every day or two something for no other reason than that you would rather not do it, so that when the hour of dire need draws nigh, it may find you not unnerved and untrained to stand the test. -William James, “Habit”
